My Charming life...
- I am a wife of 21+ years to an amazing man who showers me with love and looks at me the same way he did the day we got married.
- I’m beyond blessed to be the mother of 2 amazing teenagers, ages 16& 18, who make me laugh every day.
- I love my family more than anything.
- I'm a Christian.
- I am a very loyal friend.
- I make jewelry, scrapbook, create mixed-media art with photos, and whatever other crafty thing that excites me.
- I'm a fervent reader of historical fiction.
- I love history.
- I enjoy photography.
- I like to decorate, and redecorate....change is good!
- I'm a neat freak.
- I'm a huge list-maker, and I have no idea how we all survived before sticky notes!
- I'm a flute player and teacher.
- I don’t sit still well. I get bored, and I have to get up and do stuff. TV is great if a favorite show is on, otherwise, I find it extremely annoying. Yes, I probably have ADHD, but I’ve never been officially diagnosed.
- I have battled with anxiety my entire life, and for the first time, I’m learning how to change my thinking and relax a bit. It is a constant struggle, and I have immense compassion for others who deal with the challenges anxiety adds to everyday life.
- I love to cook, create new recipes, or repeat favorite family recipes of past generations. I rarely follow recipes and usually find that things taste even better when I don’t.
- I am an animal lover and own 4 dogs and 2 cats.
- I love old stuff: old movies, antiques (especially family heirlooms), stories of the past, old photos, old recipes, and old people! Everything has a story to tell.
- Politically, I am pretty much in the middle, but I lean right fiscally. I believe that extremes in either direction are bad, bad, bad for our country. I also believe that people should be left alone to live their truth, as long as they are law-abiding. It's a person's heart that matters. Nothing else!
- I used to be an elementary school teacher, but I’ve been on a permanent leave of absence for 15 years. In other words, I am a stay-home-mom, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be able to do that.
- I am known to be argumentative, and sometimes confrontational, but I'm rarely emotional.
- I am only 5'3” and I love being small.
- I'm artsy and musical...not mathematical or scientific.
- My craft room is my favorite place to be.
